Binley Arabians are 100% Crabbet bloodlines and concentrate on performance. The successful sire, Prince Sadik, an AHS Premium Stallion has left valuable offspring at the Stud and his son Silvern Prince, out of Silvern Image, is flying the flag in the ridden show ring taking 5th place at HOYS 2009 at his first attempt. The Stud is based on mares from Mr and Mrs Archer’s Worth Arabian Stud and some purchased lines. The latest addition to the Stud is the Australian colt, Binley Ronaldo, out of Arfaja Silver Mist by the exceptional Arfaja Robard. Our 100% Crabbet horses include the athletic white stallion Binley Prince Salim (2005), won in affiliated British Dressage in his first season and now competing in open endurance; his elegant grey daughter Silver Sunbeam (2009), out of PHA Silver Heart; gifted mare Rhapsody in Blue 2005 (Shaded Silver x Summertime Blues) just starting her competition career under saddle, and the only pure Crabbet bay mare in Britain, Palma Benay, imported from Australia, who produced a bay colt in 2010 by Silver Zaanif(Lufti Pasha x Imperial Silver Lace) and a grey filly in 2011 by Champion Crabbet Stallion Klinta Sultan. We are concentrating on breeding 100% crabbet arabians, we are producing beauty and quality, with our aim to have our home bred stock proven under saddle and in the show ring.
We have three 100% stallions here, Erin Park Excel(Erin Park Thor/Erin Park Belle) bay stallion, imported from Australia, he is producing quality foals with fabulous temperaments, with that extra something we hoped he would provide. His filly out of Veletta Pearl this year is outstanding, and will be retained. She is due to go out in the show ring next year.
We are standing the lovely grey stallion, Klinta Sultan(Shabakka/Star Solitaire). Sultan is on long term lease to us from Gunilla Hamer. He went to Malvern to the Crabbet Championships this year, he won the stallion Championship and was reserve overall champion, beautifully shown by Mark Gamlin. He has only one foal on the ground so far, but has more due next year. He is available via frozen semen as well as natural covering.
Our third stallion is Marbon Mastarpiece(Marbon Mastarifah/Marbon Mead), chestnut stallion, flaxen mane and tail, he will be used on our mares this year, and be at public stud in 2013. He was reserve in hand pure bred champion at the Welsh Crabbet show 2010 his only time out, again shown by Mark Gamlin.

Marbon Arabians started breeding 100% Crabbets / Old English and Anglo Arabs after Mrs. Archer allowed me to buy her lovely colt, Golden Khalifa (Silver Flame/Comforts Caravel) in 1982. Initially Anglos until I was able to purchase 2 Arab mares for him. He gave me 16 lovely foals before being exported to Saudi Arabia where he was the pride and joy of a Saudi Prince. He left us with his lovely son, Marbon Maestro, to continue his bloodlines. In 1985 I purchased a colt bred by Mrs. Alice Keet. El Sharluke (Amboseli/Senadiha) who I had helped her foal on one of my visits to her stud. He had Harwood breeding which I had so admired on several visits I had made to see the Calverts and their horses. The 2 mares I had purchased were Rushmere’s Fire fly (Royal Fire/Seryah) Crabbet/Old English; then Shuhira (Shirar/Istashra – 100% Crabbet with a female line going back to Dafina who was a gift to Lady Wentworth. This special stallion has been the backbone of my Stud and was sadly missed when he had to be put down in July 2004 after siring 33 foals for me. The Harwood bloodline continues through his grand-son, Masadi. We also bred Mastarifah (Grecian Idyll/Astarafah) who is giving us lovely foals from our El Sharluke daughters.

We are concentrating on breeding straight and very high % Crabbet, emphasising temperament and ridden potential while staying as few generations as possible from the Crabbet Stud itself. Our stallions at public stud are Winged Saint (El Santo / Silver Blue Wings) and Halal (Hanif / Sherilla). They will be joined by the colts Seren Hanau (Hanson / Shadowed Gold 2008); and Seren Hanag (Hanson / Silihah 2008); and in later by Binley Winged Spirit (Winged Saint / Binley Silvern Grace 2009). All five of these males are 100% Crabbet. Winged Saint is both son and sire of ridden national champions, while Halal is a retired event horse, full brother to our late Hanson who was himself endurance ridden. We welcome visiting mares. Stud conditions, including 48 hour live foal guarantee, are on our website. We are drawing to a close our Crabbet /Polish programme, aimed successfully at breeding endurance horses since 1990, with the passing of our last mare of these lines last year. Sunset Arabians sits on a hillside overlooking the Solway Firth in Cumbria. Although I started breeding in 1979 with the lovely Shades of Silver/Rafiqa daughter Saqira, due to life events , I ended up shelving my passion for a long time. Patricia Ramsay got Saqira from me and bred her to some lovely stallions....Aboud being one of them. She produced Sariqa a lovely chesnut mare who was put to Aurelian and bred Zariqa. Zariqa is very much in her father's image....she has Aurelian's refinement , action and that beautiful bronze and copper coat colour. I purchased Zariqa from Pat in 2005. It is only in the last 6 years that I have had the time and space to do what I have always dreamed of......breed pure bred Arabs with great looks , great temperaments and great confirmation not to mention that wonderful movement ..... What better can you do but use Crabbet as the base.... Zariqa, by Aurelian x Sariqa ( Aboud x Saqira) is in foal to the gorgeous Rusleem and due at the end of May .Here's hoping for another filly. Raziqa by Kosmos x Zariqa is broken and being hacked out ...she is being taught Western in preparation for Malvern. Looks great under saddle even though she is only 14hh.....my little 'Pocket Rocket'... She definitely has the 'Aboud Effect'...twice in her pedigree actually... Half sister Liliya , by Acorn (Elderberry Blue x Augusta ) is 2 this year and being shown again after getting Res. Champ on her first outing at Cumberland County last year..we will start her next Spring...2012. In August 2010, our new addition came back from Tina Atherton's stud in Devon, where Zariqa went to visit Rusleem. Tina bred this lovely filly and I have high hopes for her in the breeding stakes !!! Her name is Rusadia and she is by Rusleem out of Nadia Moon who's dam, Moon Moth, is a full sister to Holly Blue .My most favourite mare of all time.. Nadia Moon's sire is Neposnij. She has been backed and loves working with people....she is very pretty and another who is in her father's image with high white and that tall and regal look. Can't wait to find out if she is over 75%..... She will almost certainly visit a high percentage Crabbet stallion, as will Liliya , when the time comes.
